National Safety Month

National Safety Month
Each week during National Safety Month in June presents an opportunity to promote safety at home, work, and in the community. By identifying potential risks in the home and improving safety standards, we can protect everyone. This may involve increasing awareness through drills, providing water safety tips for summer activities, and taking other steps to create a safer environment for all.
Hold drills at home to help children know what to do in the event of:
* Fire
* Tornado
* Medical event
* Natural disaster
* Volunteer to participate in community emergency preparedness events
* Put together a first aid kit for your home and car
* Take a CPR class
* Teach someone to change a tire properly and safely
* Learn about proper storage and disposal of medications
* Take a defensive driving course
* Learn how to identify fall hazards in a home
Visit the National Safety Council website for tips and resources.
