Melanie is originally from Illinois and relocated to Knoxville in 2008. After living in areas such as West Knoxville, South Knoxville, Maryville, Louisville, and Fountain City, she fell in love with the culture and beauty of East Tennessee and wanted to put down some permanent roots. She and her husband purchased their first home in the Powell community in 2017.
Melanie’s interest in real estate and passion for helping others led her to step away from her successful career as a legal assistant to pursue her dream of becoming a real estate agent. She spent nearly 14 years working in the legal field and has extensive experience working with contracts. She previously volunteered as a trained mediator through the Community Mediation Center, which makes her a skilled negotiator who seeks out win-win solutions for her clients and all parties in a transaction.
Melanie desires to make buying or selling real estate as easy as possible for her clients. She understands the excitement and challenges of moving and relocating from both near and far, and she looks forward to helping her clients find a place they are proud to call “home” in East Tennessee.
In her spare time Melanie enjoys traveling, exploring new places around East Tennessee (especially all the great restaurants, breweries, and walking trails), spending time with her husband (Jason) and dog (Ace), visiting friends and family, working with her non-profit feeding program in Haiti (Manje Mirak Inc.), amateur photography, and reading a good book.
